PNC Bank closing six Indiana branches

PNC is among many banks that have been shrinking their branches as customers increasingly turn to online banking. Earlier this year, PNC closed its branch on Main Street in Zionsville. PNC has outlined plans to cut $700 million from annual expenses this year, with some of the savings coming from branch closings. Nationally, PNC closed 30 branches in the first quarter and has plans to close about 170 more branches by the end of the year.
